I know that heartbreak and I also know it has to be suffered alone but you have my condolences and hopes that you can focus on all the many, many happy moments, minutes, hours, days, and years with Minnie to offset the pain you are suffering.  I'm sorry you are paying the awful price of having a wonderful companion but....!

John I am sorry for your loss. Always rough when you lose a loving companion.

To receive the unconditional love of a dog and to love your dog unconditionally is a wonderful thing. But with that love comes loss, but some how through all the grief you are feeling now, you know it was worth it and would not have changed it for one nano second.

Take care John.

you were such a loving support to minnie, we know you were very close. there is no real comfort after losing such a companion, but like idaho said, the best we can do is say we have been through it, we understand it. your love for minnie will lead you to a new companion, and minnie will be there.

So sorry. It is hard when our loved ones leave us. But we would never have given up the chance to have them with us while we could.

I'm so sorry, John. It is never, ever easy, no matter how much warning we may get. I hope in the not-so-distant future you can think of Minnie with smiles and laughs instead of tears.

Oh no, such heartache for  you, Thoughts are with you, WE love them so much and it is so hard to let them go. Just remember the good times and rely on your friends here knowing they  are grieving with you.

I know and feel your pain (from direct experience).  I'm glad you had us for support.  With pups at ages 15, 14, and 14 I know I must be

prepared.  That's what is so great about this place. Bless you, and keep in touch.

Oh so sorry - please know that Minnie was loved and had a wonderful family - that is the best we can wish and hope for any of our companions.  My heart goes out to you and the pain your are feeling about losing Minnie...

Glad that you were there for Minnie.  The fact that she knew you were there and had your love was the best gift you could of gave her.  So sorry for your loss.
