Kirby Tries Earthdog!

Recommended Posts

We went to a dog show on Saturday at Purina Farms and had a really nice day with our breeder.  After the Cairns were finished, we went over to the earth dog tunnels and watched several Cairns try them out.  Kirby's turn came up and he became a terror terrier with those rats!  It only too a few minutes of training and he was at it!  Everybody was cheering him on and it was loads of fun.

We tried Packy next (he had done it years ago) but he was having nothing to do with the tunnels.  He wanted the rats, but was NOT going into the tunnel.  I couldn't even force him in; he's a strong boy!  Oh, well...there's always fish!

Here's Kirby seeing the rats and getting a taste for them.

And here he is going into the training box.  After that no pictures because he was always in the tunnel!

Thanks to Diane Gaines and her sister for helping us out!  It was great fun and Kirby is ready to try again!

Way to go Kirby. Some want to catch rats some want to catch fish. Angus says forget the fish - means getting my feet wet. Gimme a go at those rats.
