Funny how karma works.

Dempsy's Mom

Elsie was sitting on Jim's lap yesterday morning - our usual routine.  Jim went to pet Elsie and Elsie bit him.  Oh my goodness - you would of thought she drew blood the way Jim was carrying on.  "The little bitch just bit me!  Almost lost another finger and I can't afford to loose anymore fingers!"  And on and on.

As I sat there listening to his rampage - it reminded me of a couple weeks ago when I was ran over by the cow and as I came limping into the house in pain all I got was "Yes Lori, but why did the cow run over you?"  I promptly went into payback mode and I said, ....

"Yes Jim, but why did Elsie bite you?"

"I don't know!  The little bitch just did!"

"There must of been a reason.  What did you do to her?"

"I didn't do anything, but give her a little scratch behind the ear!"

"You must of done it roughly then."

"No I Did Not!"

"Well, she didn't bite you."

"Yes, she did!  I felt her teeth!"  (Now compare this to being ran over by a cow.  Really?!")

"Well, there is a reason why Elsie "nipped" you."

I went over and looked in Elsie's ear nothing.  Then I felt around her ear and found the culprit.  It was a tick.  "There Jim.  There is the reason Elsie nipped you.  Now apologize."  Good grief. <_<

I'm sure you have seen the little statues of meditating dogs in gift stores around your place - they are certainly around here.  Maybe you should get Jim one to remind him that all things happen for a reason??

Just joking...
