Well, someone finally came up with an explanation about why doggies have frito-smelling feet.

Horrible.  I am exhausted - one more cold night they tell me and it will all be better.  Two sick calves in shop.  Elsie & Demps are running around on 3 legs for pp breaks.  It is just so cold I can't warm up.  16 below tonight but 40 above by the weekend.  I am going to bed now.

I always thought something matter with Angus feet because they don't smell of anything more than the rest of him. That's ok then I guess because he is the sweetest smelling dog I've ever owned !

Like Angus, Carrington, my first cairn, and now Ruffy, have the sweetest smells. I always took this for granted until one day at the dog run, a very friendly lab was hanging around us and as I petted him I leaned down and caught a whiff of the rankest body odor coming from him! Even my hand was stinky! So now I know what people mean when they complain about "smelly dogs".

Another reason to brag about our cairns!
