Popular Post Malcolm's Dad
Malcolm does not like to be covered up. If you put a blanket or throw over him he gets right up and moves. The weather got cool the last few days. Don't want to turn the heat on yet, need to save money for the winter heating bill. So I've been on the couch with the blanket. Malcolm got on the couch with me. I put the blanket over him to snuggle for a bit figuring it wouldn't last long. Wrong! He stayed on the couch last night snuggling and watching tv with me. Boy was that comfortable. He usually won't snuggle for long. He never stayed under the blanket before. Then we go to bed. After chasing him off the pillow he took up his usual position next to my leg. I put the blanket over him and went to sleep. This morning there he was still under the blanket. He kept my legs nice and warm. The temperature was 60 when we got up, that is really cool in the house. Seems the blanket is ok for him when it gets that cool. We will see what happens when the heat is turned on. Most likely he will go back to not wanting the blanket. In the mean time I'm really enjoying this. The cool temperature may not be that comfortable but snuggling with Malcolm certainly is.

hheldorfer
Even the toughest, snarliest, most stubborn Cairns can get snuggly if the mood strikes them. There's nothing like a warm Cairn to keep you warm when it's chilly. Good boy, Malcolm!
hheldorfer
I forgot to add that Buffy and Ziggy have also begun abandoning their dog beds for a place in the big bed. Definitely a chill in the air!
Hillscreek
See Malcolm, under the blankie can be snug for quite a while. I arrange my new birthday blankie so it wraps around me and keeps those pesky drafts away. Angus
Dempsy's Mom
Very sweet. Malcolm probably loved it as much as you did - but of course he did it all for your benefit. He certainly won't admit to feeling all warm and fuzzy inside as well as outside. Sounds like a lovely evening! I wish you many more to come! LindaMC
I just love it when Maisie snuggles close to me, which is usually not too rare. She usually just jumps up on the couch next to me and then spins around until her back side is touching me and then lies down. If I pat her or massage her while she's lying near me, she'll get right up and move to the other end of the couch.... Nice to here that Malcolm is mellowing somewhat, hope you have lots more snuggle nights with him in the future. Autumn & Lola
Sounds like Malcolm has discovered how nice being warm and snuggly can be! Maybe he'll carry on once the heat is on. Lola only snuggles next to her Daddy!
