Greetings! We are a Organic Farming Family of 5! We live in southern Oregon and have an Organic Farm producing Medicinal herbs for our Tea house and Nursery Commune i tea! We have always loved Cairns! We raise working Lgd's 2 beautiful Hungarian Komondors, and we just purchased our first Cairn Terrier! A male puppy .....we dont have a name yet... He is 9 weeks old! We choose this breed because we hoped we could enjoy an indoor dog that also could chase ground squirrels off our 5 acre farm during the day.... Everyone helps out on the farm! Oh, that's a cute little baby!  Welcome to the forum and be sure to keep posting pictures; we love puppies!

He is such a amazing lil creature! Best lil pal in the world is right! Its hard for me to want to go to work at our tea house! He is just too much fun!

We have been finding some interesting information about cairn terriers

One is that some believe it was a magical dog that were guardians of the spirit realm... The druid dog...

Anciently speaking they were also revered during the pagan holy day Mabon or first harvest... One article mentions devotional meals taken to cairns which were guarding over major energetic Ley lines marked by cairns in which these dogs were living feral... Its also interesting to note the cairn terrier has been noted in literature as a magical and talking friend above and beyond just wizard of oz! So many fun historical facts about these special lil guys!
