*Important* Treat Recall

Thanks for posting.  Before Waggin Train was purchased by Nestle they were manufactured in the US.  Shortly after Nestle bought the company they switched to China.  I wrote the company and they in a nutshell said too bad, so sad it saves money.  I hope their cavalier attitude costs them mega bucks.  I just hope no dogs suffer for their greed.

Yes, thanks for posting. I thought Milo's was one to trust, although I have never bought it, our daughter has and shared with our dogs. I will have to pass this on to her.

What infuriates me is that the company has known Canyon Creek Ranch was killing dogs since at least early 2012, and they only now decided to pull them.

I hate to paint an entire country with a broad brush, and I am in no way implying anything negative about the people of China, but their factory standards pretty much guarantee that anything produced for consumption there (especially for pets) is going to be deadly at some point.

My best advice is to look at where everything you put in your and you dog's mouths is produced and if it says "Made in China" do not buy it. They do not have factory standards to ensure health and safety of you, or the workers who make it.

There are fewer and fewer treats I feel OK about buying for Angus.

In fact I hardly ever give him a treat now except when he's working for one like playing his new puzzle game, coming  when I call him. Instead of dog treats I'm tending to give him a veggie or fruit. Favorite are a piece of carrot or apple.

I agree 100%, Ever since the first recall on breast filets, of which i had 2 big bags from Costco of the Waggin  Train brand, every treat pack I buy I make sure is not made in China... and that it doesn't say, not made for human consumption.

If it can't go in my stomach , it should not be going in my dog's either.

I hear that some of the raw hide is made from the leftover hide used at shoe factories , which is full of chemicals used to soften the hide.

It is so disgusting how some of these companies will jeopardize our pets health and life to save a buck.

Really enjoyed making those dog biscuits during Christmas - and the dogs loved them - all good ingredients.

I just heard that these treats are not being recalled in Canada. Apparently "they are not harmful, they just don't quite meet the US standards". So nice to know that our Canadian standards are lower!!!
