We took Jack & Belle for a long walk this morning. We returned to the scene of the crime of the skunk spraying...no skunk this time. Jack found his own bird for Christmas dinner, we had to take it away from him. I don't think that I will ever get tired of watching these two run in the woods. They are filled with such joy while they are running loose and figuring things out for themselves.

What a wonderful life Jack and Belle have. I try not to tell Addie too much about it for fear she's going to run away to North Carolina.

Addie found a dead finch the other day. Refused to let it go, and her slightly wimpy mom (me) was too freaked out (& grossed out) to rip it out of her mouth. I flipped her on her side and the surprise made her drop the bird.

You are so right, there is nothing better than watching them run free, chase, sniff, fetch,etc... and in Jack's case, play keep away! I hope you keep sharing these, very enjoyable. Thanks...
