Dempsy's Mom Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 My day started really early. I went to feed the dogs and we were out of their food. Had an appointment so out the door I went. After appointment I did some Christmas shopping. Picked up 3 bully sticks for Dempsy, Digger and Cousin Lucy. Rushed home. Grabbed all the gifts and put them at the bottom of the steps to carry upstairs. Unpacked grocery's found another gift. Ran it to the stack at the bottom of the steps. While turning the corner - I saw Demps on the floor with his back legs sprawled out and he flinched at hearing my footsteps. I didn't think anything of it and then on second thought I stopped and asked Demps "What are you up to and you jumped out of your shorts when I came in?" Upon closer inspection I see that he had found the bully sticks and was unwrapping one. I said, "Dempsy!" in a scolding voice. and Demps looked at me as if to say, "Have you forgotten, that I haven't had anything to eat all day!! I need food!" and I giggled because I had forgotten to feed him as soon as I got home and Demps was simple taking care of himself. 2 Quote Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori

Lynn in TN Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I love your posts of Dempsy and the farm life and every time I read them I can't help but sing, Take me back to the black hills the black hills of Dakota, to the beautiful indian country that I love. I end up singing it all the way through, which would be great if I could sing like Doris Day! Unfortunately I don't have that ability. haha Quote
hheldorfer Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I guess Dempsy figured he was at a buffet. Serve yourself, sir! Quote
