I just got an email from the FDA about a bully stick recall. Info shown below:

Kasel Associated Industries of Denver, CO is voluntarily recalling its BOOTS & BARKLEY 6 COUNT 5 INCH AMERICAN BEEF BULLY STICKS product because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.

I threw the original post up in a hurry to get it out in the communtiy. The Boots and Barkley brand is sold by Target.

Can't let anything happen to our fur babies. :kiss:

Now I'm off to see the great suggestions/recipes our members put up on the "Make your own treats" thread.

I think this is a "Don't try this at home" moment. Could cause severe injury or death. :redflag:

Laughing so hard Finn came running to see what was up!

On a related note, at some point, Currey stopped chewing on his bullies. We thought maybe they weren't fresh from the store. I got the idea to freshen one up like you would a piece of bread - wrap it in foil and pop it in a warm oven for a couple of minutes! OMG, the stench!!! It might be the most horrid thing I've ever smelled in my life!!!!!! Do not try that at home! (it does turn out the way to freshen up a bully is chop off the end, BTW!)
