Hillscreek
Can I link a topic to another forum directly?
bradl
I'm slow today ... not sure I exactly understand the question. A link is just a URL (the http://blah.blah.blah in the address bar of the browser). If I needed to link to this topic while I was writing a post in a another forum, I could just copy and paste from the address bar while looking at this topic. http://www.cairnterrier.org/forum/topic/13629-link-toanother-forum/ If I needed to link to this specific *post* I would click the little "#2" over on the right side of the gray bar above the specific post and that will pop up a window with the link address to this post within this topic. http://www.cairnterrier.org/forum/topic/13629-link-toanother-forum/page__view__findpost__p__134638 But I'm probably misunderstanding the question. If you can describe an example of what you're needing I'll bet that it is possible. CAIRNTALK: Questions? Hillscreek
I want to send a link to my Does he have to be stripped? thread to the grooming section on the UK cairn forum Cairn Terrier Talk. Similar items re stripping being discussed there. When I try to send the direct link from the thread clicking on the gray bar number they only seem to receive a link to our forum in general. bradl
http://www.cairnterr...to-be-stripped/ http://www.cairnterrier.org/forum/topic/13332-does-he-have-to-be-stripped/ Should load the topic directly. If I paste the above into a non-logged-in browser it loads appropriately. CAIRNTALK: Questions?
