Dempsy's Mom

Another gloomy day today. It is raining and thundering out this morning. Digger is having fits over the thunder. This morning I was out with the cattle and a calf was on the other side of the fence away from mom. I grabbed him and tried to shove him under the fence but I wasn't fast enough and the mom came through the fence and took me. So I limped back to the house with a fat lip and a swollen ankle. Needless to say she is on my sell list. So I decided to try to post the video I took yesterday which was a much better day, of Demps still on the prowl for the chicks. Yay, I got it to work - a bright spot in my day.

HA! Hogan was just as interested in the rotisery chicken I just brought home. Hope Dempsey is kissing your boo-boos.

Dempsey is so adorable....can't you just give him one chick...just one. Perhaps they will be great pals, like he was with Gracie....:)

Funny that Allie and T Bone have absolutely no interest in the pet birds in their aviaries here. Thank goodness!

It might not be a good idea to give Demps those dried chicken dog snacks we find at the store here though. No sense encouraging him...I just don't think his wagging tail interest really means he wants to be friends...

Darn I wish I could see videos. I hope the ankle isn't anything serious.

Sounds like Demps is still interested in those chicks lol.

Poor you, Lori! I hope you heal fast because it seems that everyone on that farm needs you, both human and otherwise. Dempsy looks so determined in the video, such a sweet little man. Tell him he's on nursing duty for the next few days. Dog spit will cure anything.

Dog spit will cure anything.

If the dog spit doesn't help, I've recently found a product called "Salon Pas", which is a medicated patch that you apply to sprains and bruises. It sends pain medication though he skin directly to the source.

I hope you are feeling better, Lori.

Dempsey Looks SO much like my Ozzy! Gotta love them. It's a good thing they're so cute!

My daughter told me, "Now ma! I really don't want to explain to people that my mother died by getting ran over by a cow. I mean really." I told her, "It's simple you just tell them I died from mad cow. Let them draw their own conclusions." We laughed.

I am going to write that down - "Salon Pas" - that sounds like something I should have on hand. My lip is still swollen, but other than that I am good. Thank you for your well wishes.

I think that's the only reason I posted this video is that Demps is so cute in it. ..... Plus he does like to cruise for chicks. Typical man. He's better work on his pick up line if he thinks he's going to get close to them.
