Tuesday we took Layla to the groomers as her winter coat was way overgrown. I think she was happy to come out of there 2 lbs. lighter as her tail wouldn't stop wagging. I wasn't sure it was her as I hadn't seen her eyes in months - but she knew it was me the minute I walked in and started to whine - she loves to ride home in the car and stick her head out the window.

So here is the little princess who is now 19 months old.

She's a lovely young lady . . . and I bet she'd like nothing more than to go outside and jump in the mud!

She does look like a princess, but, I to, bet she can't wait to roll in something.

Wow, what a pretty girl! I'm really struck by how fuzzy her ears look. Even if I were to trim the flyaway "feathers" from my guys' ears, they'd never look that plush. Very becoming!

If you get a chance, could you post a "before" photo? I'm wondering how Gavvy would look with a good grooming.

Here is a picture from 12/29/11 - unfortunately she is wearing her new winter coat but you can see how much hair she had then.

What a pretty girl! I bet she feels like a new woman! How did she do at the groomers? Was she well behaved?

Ah, little Layla. I remember the first pictures of her standing on the couch, looking out the window of your home. Pretty then and pretty now.

In regards to how she was at the groomers? As she is not particularly happy about having her legs or feet touched, I felt I had to warn the groomers of this as I wasn't sure how she would react. Having done that, I was concerned they may have to put a muzzle on her. When I went to pick her up - the groomer was surprised about the advice as she said Layla was a perfect lady and didn't act up at all. In fact, when she was being brushed, little Layla kept licking her hand and wouldn't let her use two hands as she wanted one to lick. I've been told that return visits will be very welcome.

FEAR THE CAIRN!

Layla looks amazing ... all that beautiful wheaten hair! She's certainly growing up to be a great looking cairn, that's for sure.

It must be the time of the year for getting haircuts. We took Fearghus to the groomer Wednesday to get stripped but we waited a bit too long so now he's mostly in his undercoat. Before and after pictures are on my blog: http://www.lemontreetales.com/lemon_tree_tales/2012/04/fearghus-gets-stripped.html

Cheers,

I'll say what I usually say when I see Sweet Pea, "Baby Girl Baby Girl"!

'Tis a term of endearment to be sure.

Aww...Little Layla is all grown up and looking so beautiful. I also remember her puppy pics and looking like a little teddy bear, she still has that sweet little face.
