Jack's Saturday Play Date

We finally got our dog yard built. It's still a work in progress but at least the fence is secure. We started a meet up page for Jack on the internet so that he can have play dates with other dogs. One of the first to visit was a female Cairn Terrier named Toto that is close to the same age as Jack. They had a two hour date yesterday along with Toto's sister, a Yorkshire-Chihuahua mix. Looks like they had a great time. It's amazing how much alike these little dogs are. I am posting a link to the video, would have gotten it on sooner but Jack demanded his three hour Sunday walk first.

How cute!!! What a great backyard for a Cairn and all his friends!

Now that's a play yard. Cute how they all stopped for a drink and then back to playing. They should of all slept good that night. Thanks for posting.

Great example of how Cairns play and why owners of other breeds cringe when a Cairn shows up at the dog park! For those of you that are thinking about obtaining a Cairn--this is what they do. Full bore chasing and wrestling--all in fun but.....!

Great video, I really enjoyed it.

Great video and a great backyard. What a fun place for a Cairn. Thanks for sharing.

What a Cairn paradise you have there. Great play date for sure. Taz wishes he lived near you! He loves to run like that.

I'm officially feeling like a neglectful Cairn mum. That is definitely a Cairn paradise! I'm not ever letting Addie see that video or else she'll be running away to North Carolina.

I love how Cairns play. Full force, totally going for it, not leaving a bit of energy left when they're through.

Would have loved to see video but apparently it has material from UMG[?] and that is blocked in UK!

But yes it is great to get Cairns together to play.

Wow - Jack has his own private dog park! Love how he climbed into the water dish for his drink. Our Allie does that too...

Jack has the best yard -- a true cairn paradise! Yup...that's what my two look like, minus the awesome playground.

Buffy has her bags packed and is making airline reservations to North Carolina.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. We still have some work to do on the Jack Yard. The pups seem to enjoy it greatly. My first impulse was to remove all the stumps, but they love to dig at them during breaks. To "Holly & Me", I have a slightly shorter version of the video with different music that should be internationally friendly that I will post tomorrow, hope you like it. To "Brad", that is a Miles Davis & Bill Frisell tune, I'll look up the name tomorrow for you. It's been a long day, 13 hours at work with a Jack walk before & after. Just hoping that they finish the Daytona 500 soon, got to do it all again tomorrow.

I wish we were closer and I'd be asking for a playdate for our guys! What a great backyard. Jack's a lucky guy (and quite a cutie too!)

How wonderful to see that my Cairn is normal, for a Cairn that is! How delightful!

Brad, the name of the song in the video is "Shucks" from Bill Frisell's "Nashville" album. I am uploading the other version now. It should be viewable in England.

"Holly & Me" said that they couldn't see the video in England so I am posting a link to a modified version, hope it works.
