EXTRA LOVE TODAY!

Dempsy's Mom

It's 6 a.m. Dempsy is sleeping in in his little hut. Jim is out feeding cattle. I thought for sure I would have a Cairn Cupid story or two, maybe even a photo of my loves. Nothing. That's two nothings this morning. (I didn't get anything from Jim either) :confused1: My only hope is when Dempsy stirs - surely he will give me love. I am even slipping - I wish I would of had a Dempsy Valentine Photo for you all, but I am still covered in papers doing taxes. It's amazing I can even find the laptop so locating the camera is like finding a needle in the paperstack.

But I do have an old photo. Imagine cupids flying around his little head.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYBODY!! .......TOMORROW.

Crap. No wonder I am not getting any love today. It's NOT love day yet!!! I must be so deprived for love my anticipation is taking over. Sorry everybody - I will look tomorrow morning for love. I am a little embarrassed. But now that I have let the love out early, I will really be expecting some Cairn love.

I tried to delete the post. I am so silly.

I thought that was bery nice of me being such a youngun and not nowing bout these things but I'm learning. I do know that Demps loves you bery much so I'll keep my paws crossed that you have a bery good Balentine.

Thanks for being so nice. For a couple of hours there this morning I thought I was "looking for love in all the wrong places" but the first place I should of looked was the calendar. I told Jim what I did, he laughed.

I'm sure you'll get lots of love from both your guys tomorrow. Buffy said to tell Dempsy that uprights REALLY like licks and snuggles. (Plus, that usually will get you a treat or two.)

Wow it's great to feel the Love. I believe everyday should be filled with Love!

Actually, Lori, your post was a great and much needed reminder to find and mail that Valentine to my sweetie. I usually mail one for delivery as well as giving him one to enjoy when he gets up (which is usually after I leave for work). Of course, the dogs give him one too. So thanks for the heads-up!

Hey Dempsy.... today's the day!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, hope today is loaded with love. Happy Valentine's day from Luigi and family!

Extra Love Indeed! What could be better than Valentine's Day and Westminster on television on the same day? My sweetie has promised me a lovely meal in front of the television tonight -- who else would love me enough to know how important it is to watch dogs on TV?

Here we are last night, Gus wondering "Where are the Cairns????"

BF & I will be having our Prosecco, steak & chocolates while watching tonight. A little extra love all around.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!!

Speaking of "extra love", is it just me or are those handlers getting a bit frisky with their slaps to their dog's faces? My goodness there has to be a better way to get a dog's attention, particulary a show dog that is used to being poured over by humans, other than slapping its snout or waving some treat in front of it?

Perhaps I just haven't been paying attention in the past but it really struck me as unusual last night and night before.

I'm thinking of starting another "new breed" anyway since that seems to be all the rage these days, how's does a Rocky Mountain Rough Cairn Terrier sound to all of you? That would be a Cairn shown and handled by disinterested and grooming inept owners and handlers from the "Sissor Cut Their Ears and Wipe Their Butts" school of the AKC.

No, I am trying to justify my lethargy Brad--I cut when the eyes disappear behind the hair and not a moment sooner. I am the grand champion "Groucho Getter" in this house!

OK Idaho, we need to keep you away from dog shows. I think I felt your blood pressure rise clear over here in SD. Cute pics of Gus looking for his counterparts. Hope he got a little of that steak for a valentine.

My valentines day was a little nuts, but good. Jim presented me with earings this morning - very nice. Then we got news of a neighbor passing - so I spent a good part of the day rounding up some food to take in. In the afternoon Demps got to go for a walk in the mud puddles, barked at the hired men with the air hose and raced Pepper up and down the fence a few times. When we came in he was filthy. Stuck him in the tub only to discover we had no hot water, so I rinsed off his feet, tummy and butt and called it good. Now he wants to play. He got a new squeaker ball for valentines.

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentines Day! To bad that puppy "Wendy" isn't being delivered today - that would be a great Valentine!
