Rolled leather collar

After doing some searching, I found that MANY of you are a fan of this type of collar. I am going to give it a try. Any brand or store recommendations?

I should have added a couple more inches to the measurement though, as it connects at the longest hole.

I could not find anything like this in the stores. The store ones all had a flat surface where the roll joined (the stitched area)

I loved my rolled leather collar....but stopped using them a few years back...because I have only been able to find them with belt style buckles.

I stopped using buckle collars after two incidents. One of my dogs was sleeping on an adorondak type chair and one of her collar tags (happened to be her license which is required by law for the dogs to wear) slipped through and got caught in the slats of the chair. I had to remove the collar to free her.

The second incident involved my sisters two dogs who were playing and somehow one dog got caught on the other dogs collar (his jaw slipped under the collar). This resulted in one dogs air way being cutoff and the other dog in danger of damaging his teeth or jaw. Fortunately she was able to get the collar off and all was well.....

As a result of both incidents my dogs now wear nylon collars with plastic quick release buckles. I figure that I can react faster if similar incidents happen again. At least with the plastic I can break it if I have to if I can not get the buckle to release & I could cut through the nylon much easier then I could leather if it came to that.

In a perfect world...no collars on the dogs.....but I don't live in that world and the dogs must wear collars.

I ordered one! I'll let you know when it comes in. The man I spoke to on the phone was really nice and helped me decide what to get.
