Bruce's Dad Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 So it was an interesting morning introducing Bruce to the kids... We woke the kids up at 5:30 as my wife and i didn't want to try to keep the pup that quiet... The kids walked right past him and my oldest (10y/o) actually stepped around him. They walked right past the dog bed filled with dog toys and the big box that the play yard came in.... We actually had to point him out to the kids before they realized there was a puppy in the house. and I was worried about the kids being to overwhelming for him, but it was the other way around, he had to be in the action while the kids opened their gifts... the only pain is getting my 7y/o ADHD daughter to listen about not giving the puppy mixed signals... Bruce has been doing very good though and seems to be enjoying exploring his new digs...
Lynn in TN Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Perfect Puppy Day! I just love that. I can't wait for the pictures and the stories. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
BetsyNoodle Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Sounds like a perfect Cairn Christmas morning to me! Can't wait to see pictures!
pindrop Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Ohhh sounds like everything went according to plan (all except the kids ignoring him) I bet Bruce is all pooped out and resting as that is what puppies do. I'm so glad for you and your family with the latest addition. This next week will definitely be interesting as I'm sure the kids are home from school. Enjoy your time and can't wait to see pictures. pindrop Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 oh my goodness....what a cutiepie with "dirt" on the end of his nose. So curious at that age too. Investigates everything. More pics please. (we need a puppy fix!) Husband and dog missing ...25 cents reward for dog
Kathryn Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Yes, Bruce is a dog showing his cairn credentials at an early age. He'll only dig bigger as he gets bigger!
Dempsy's Mom Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 He is a very pretty boy. The Christmas story is to funny and his first video is very Cairn. Congrats and get ready for an exciting new year! Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori
hheldorfer Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 He's adorable and pure Cairn in every way. Keep the photos/videos coming!
KShep Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Speaking of giving the puppy mixed signals. I have a hard time getting adults not to do that! Ripley knows a few specific commands (sit, down, off, sit pretty, crawl, speak, no, leave it, and be sweet) Don't say "down" if you want her "off" the couch, Mom and Dad! I forgot about "Raus!" That means go away.
Lynn in TN Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ohhh how cute. Little Bruce makes me want another one so bad.
