Country Cuz Demps came to visit

I got a call this morning from Lori, who was in the Twin Cities with Dempsy. I had suggested she call if they were ever in town so we could get our dogs together...she had once posted about visiting The Cities, as Minneapolis and St. Paul are called.

We had never met before, and I think Lori's daughter -- who was also along, as well as grandkids -- was a little confused by this. How could two people, who have never met, be so eager to get together? We tried to explain about Cairn Talk, but I think she just didn't "get it."

I am happy to report that Demps is a true gentleman and wonderful guest. He made friends with first T Bone and then Allie. After a while T Bone decided that with three dogs around he wasn't the center of attention anymore and so he tried to start a fight with Demps. That got him a timeout while the rest of us sat around in the living room, Allie and Demps included. Demps even nodded off while stretched out on the couch in the sunshine. Allie curled up next to Lori's grandson on the other end of the couch.

Demps clearly can be a charming country cousin, and I think Allie would like to see him again.

Lori will have to post the photos, because she is the one who took them.

It was a great Christmas surprise to get Demps' visit, and we were really pleased to meet him (and Lori and her family too).

How wonderful for all of you to actually meet each other and have the dogs meet as well. Glad to hear that Demps was the country gentleman but then again we didn't expect anything less from the angel. Hopefully this is the start of a "howling" success.

That's wonderful! I am glad you all had a great time. The people on this forum are so awesome. I believe meeting anyone on here would be a blessing.

That is so awsome that you all met. What a nice litlle suprise and festive timing. Very special to meet the dogs and uprights we get to know here. A couple years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Dwwan and Tuk from this site. And I welcome ... if any of you are traveling through / to Phoenix ... to come meet Taz & Gypsy
