Trying to change my avatar

Brad,

I tried to change my avatar pic this morning. I selected a new photo but I get an error message "Failed to set new photo". I tried several times but it's just not working. Any ideas?

Hmm, I just changed mine last week, so the software is working. The usual things that cause problems are file to big in pixels; file too big in file-size; unsupported file extension; unusual characters in file name.

Can you attach the photo you're trying to use in a PM to me? I can try adding it to a test account to see if I can discover what's up. We'll get it sorted!

In the meantime, sometimes a good work-around is an end-run: for the Robin avatar I use most of the time, I set my avatar option to use a gravatar associated with my email address. Gravatar is a free and easy service that the forum recognizes. Register an email to use that system.
