Christmas Cairns

Thought it might be a nice idea if Cairn owners would like to post Christmas pictures - so with that in mind, hubby and I yesterday took a few pictures of Layla. Trimmed the hair around her eyes - cut her toenails (which of course no one can see) and asked her to sit nicely. Course you have to be quick as they move like lightening. I'm going to be putting up the tree next week and will try to get some better shots with a more festive atmosphere but decided to start the ball rolling with this first attempt.

Lovely Layla! Pindrop, she is such a little cutie I can see why you are so proud of her.

Give her a big hug from Bailey & Radar!! (and me, too)

Great idea...now I have to put up our tree and start snapping :)

Oh, what a beautiful girl you are, Layla! I doubt that we can make Buffy look as glamorous, but we'll give it a shot.

Oh she is cute!! She looks like a dainty girl! Most times it's hard to tell animal's genders but she is very obviously a lady!

Layla is all grown up!!! What a pretty little girl she is now but where oh where did that little fur ball go??? I love the pictures, she posed well!

Adorable! My guys are going to get pictures with Santa ( if they behave). On the 10th. I will post if we are successful.

She's so beautiful!! Murphy won't let us take many pictures of him. Maybe he'll cooperate this year....

I love the pictures! Layla is soooo Beautiful. She looks so sweet and innocent.

Oh oh; her first Christmas tree. Let's see how many ornaments she destroys....Pegi nailed quite a few.

I just posted this old photo of Theo on the Columbia site as our featured photo until Christmas. Theo was 16 or 17 in the photo. He belonged to a local club member (Dundee's breeder, actually) who used it as her Christmas card one year. Theo is now long gone, but the photo was and remains one of my all-time favorite Cairn photos. Here's to old Cairns and New Years!

Great idea Brad--I like remembering our old friends during this Holiday Season when we are so focused on our current Cairns. To memorialize our past Cairns is a good thing, I think, they are never far from our memories, just, for the moment, out of reach from us. Here's to Cairn Christmas Past from me.

Wonderful pictures Brad & Idaho of your beautiful, senior cairns. I also think of my senior girls with the fondest memories and still miss them. They were all special in their own ways.

A toast to Old cairns and New Years!

What a lovely cairns!

And this is my Simba (in 2009) - He is always the greatest helper when we`re decoring our Christmas Tree

We don`t have any winter pics from 2011 because we don`t have snow yet :(

Love the pics! Theo with his jingle bells (as good as it gets) - the hat (perfect) - classy little pics of Simba - I like the one with the gold strand of beads and his little teeth showing - it's like he is checking to see if it's real gold - "Ok, we can use it for decor. Sorry folks, it's not real gold. Humbug."
