Pingber Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Here are a few attachments! She has a new name ... the Cairn Terrorist! Now she needs a costume to go with the name! Phil
Lynn in TN Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 AWW! She is so cute! I want another one. I know you are having fun with that cute little terrorist!
Sam I Am Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 How can anything so sweet looking be a Cairn terrorist Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie
Pingber Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 Don't let that sweet look fool you .... We've had her a week and a half and she has taken over. Teeth like little daggers, steals things like crazy, poops that are stink bombs! Definately a terrorist! Phil
pkcrossley Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 oh yeah... the biting will get better, but the stealing won't. my eleven year old steals like when he was four months old. get neat. lock the cupboards. put up shelves more than five feet high. keep valuables in the stove or the refrigerator. or be prepared to lose everything.
DebbieIngber Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Hi everyone, I am Maggie Mae's other parent (with Phil), and your comments are both saving our sanity and keeping us howling with laughter. Having previously had dachshunds, we thought we were used to bright, strong willed puppies, but Maggie Mae is one thousand times more so! We adore her, but really needto scramble to stay one step behind her (one step ahead is not possible). Thank you for being there, you arereally helping us! Sincerely, Debbie
hheldorfer Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 She's a beauty. Can't wait to see more pics and hear more stories as she grows up.
tomatosandwich Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 What a gorgeous little furry ball of terror! Yes, we have all had to get better about picking up after ourselves--many toy dinosaurs have sacrificed limbs in this house to remind us of what we leave in Cairn reach!
Idaho Cairns Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Aptly named, that little smokey Cairn with those knowing eyes! Rockin Rod said it all: "You made a first-class fool out of me!" Ah Maggie Mae. Join the Magical Mystery Tour that is Cairn ownership. She's lovely and it all just gets better.
finncaraid Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Maggie Mae is just too cute! Can see from the first pic she already knows she has you. And, yeah, the stealthy "finding" of things is typical. These days, I don't worry anymore about finding things 'cause I know our Poirot guy will find anything out of place. I also know that I'm not losing my mind anymore when something that was there 1 minute ago is suddenly gone --- I know where it is. When Maggie Mae is old enough to pay attention to no, you'll get lots of chuckles when she decides to open a bag, for instance, you tell her no & she pretends she's being obedient. She'll wait until you've turned away & go right back. She'll keep it up until you remove it & then she'll stand there trying to figure out how to get to its new location to continue exploring.
josie&holly Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 She is a cute pup and love the name Maggie May! www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk
pindrop Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 oh my...what a little beauty she is...beyond cute. Love the name too - good ole Rod. Keep the pictures coming - and the antics. We've all pretty much been there and know the horrors that are about to come and how those innocent little faces can look like angels is beyond me. Husband and dog missing ...25 cents reward for dog
Hawkeye Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 aww....she is absolutely precious! Stealing, killing stuffed toys and biting is just a few of their wonderful traits. Oh, I should mention they LOVE to help you fold the laundry. You will has so much fun with Maggie Mae. Hi Debbie, nice to see you joined this crazy bunch.
TazTalk Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Love that face!! Their extreme cuteness is necessary to allow you to put up with their terrorist antics. ... You stole my heart, I couldn't leave you if I tried ... (now I'll be singing the song the rest of the day!)
Lynn in TN Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Oh yeah the stealing the stubborn little cutie. Which by the way is why they are so cute and only get cutter as they get older( To keep you from ringing their little necks) hehehe It is so funny we bring these little darlings home and think we are training them. Then when they are a little older you figure out they have trained you. You look around your house and your things are now at least 5 feet up including your shoes. The dogs things on the other hand are everywhere. LOL You find bits of food hiding in the strangest places, like in between the couch cushions, in corners, under furniture. Kelly had finally stopped chewing up things and then we got her spayed now she is chewing on things again. She is right cute while doing it too. Have fun with little Maggie Mae. ( That is one of my favorite songs and now I sing it every day)
Kathryn Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Very cute pup, and her color is exactly like Allie's when she was that age (about 14 years ago!). Prepare yourself for quite a ride....
Dempsy's Mom Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Maggie Mae I think you are the cutest! Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori
