What is it? I'm referring to the notification options and opting in and out of email. What is the notification list? Sorry if it's a redundant or "dummy" question!

Notification List is that list that drops down when you click on the 'person' icon on the top bar.

You can control what appears in the list by ticking various items. I don't find it all that useful (personally) as I rely on the other more active notification types to get my attention.

Okay- I never had that option checked, so I never payed attention to that icon. I'm gonna try it out and see if it works better for me than email.
