... i am a fan of ruff wear. the gear is pretty interesting.

Our Ruff Wear WebMaster Harness just arrived in the mail yesterday. I'd heard good things about it on this site and the name seemed appropriate for Ruffy, so I bought it for him. The literature points out how well these harnesses perform for hiking, tracking, scaling, scrambling, etc. It fits very well and looks impressively high-tech and serious and it makes Ruffy look like a Jock!

But we don't engage in any of those activities — in or out of the city — I bought the harness for its handle on the back. Ruffy sometimes gets confrontational with dogs in the run and I use the handle to pull him away when I think things might escalate.

FEAR THE CAIRN!

yep, it's like the things are custom made for cairns. they were designed, i believe, for dogs involved in search and rescue, so they could be lowered into crevices and guided back, etc. the handle is a lifesaver for teddy and is extremely handy with redmon --when his back was bad i could help him upstairs, when he gets gruff with a neighbor dog i just whisk him up and away. no fuss no muss. and if i had to carry them both i guess i could just carry them like a couple of suitcases.

totally light, very comfortable, easy to clean. amazing stuff.
