Oops I did it again. . . Baylee has a little brother!

A 12 week dark brindle joined our family on Saturday. Wasn't really planning this new addition, but as I'm sure you will all agree, who can resiste that face and little wiggly butt. :D

All day Saturday he was named "Barney". When I e-mailed a picture to my son on Sunday, I got an immediate reply "OMG get on Skype" from him and his girlfriend. As we introduced "Barney" to them, my son commented that he really didn't like "Barney" since it made him think of a big purple dinosaur. My son suggested "Barnum". I guess I was a bit slow, and it took my a while to get it. Barnum & Baylee (Bailey). . .

So less then 24 hours after he joined the family, he is now officially "Barnum".

You can just send that cutie pie straight to me! Lucky you! I would have taken him in a heartbeat. I also like the name Barnum. Would love to see your circus on video.

Side note: Have you ever read These Happy Golden Years (from the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder) In the book Almonzo had a horse named Barnum and he was a run away. Be careful their is something in a name.

aww...what a beautiful and wonderful addition. Welcome Barnum we look forward to hearing all about you. You will enjoy having the two so much and hopefully Baylee will be able to help in the training process.

Like Barnum much better than Barney - I still have nightmares about watching the Barney Christmas movie over and over and over....and my girls are 18 this week. It never fades! He's a cutie!

He's adorable! More pictures!

Look out! I see a spark, maybe even a lightning bolt of mischief in those eyes! I think this one is going to be a dandy. Lovely little guy, all sooty and dark like a coal shuttle, I envy you.

+1 Idaho - "Just wait until you think I am the best little behaved puppy you have every seen and I will unleash Cairn Terrierism the likes of which you won't believe."

Cute beyond belief. And that is sand that he is sitting on isn't it? I mean you are in Florida, but that sure looks like a dusting of snow to me.

OOOPS!!! I like the way you started this thread as in "I think I made a mistake?" How could you even think that with that little face staring up at you with those big ears. omg....he is absolutely adorable and I think your son is brilliant to have come up with that name. Now more pictures and stories on how the two are getting along is mandatory. Good luck!

Aw, now I want a brindle one! What a sweetie! Love the name, too!

Hawkeye - I think Baylee is going to be a good trainer. This morning Barnum watched Baylee doing her moring poo, and he looked up at me with that "Can I?" look, and walked "near" her poo, and did his duty as well. Lots of treats and ear scratches for them both!!!

remltr - No, not sand or snow! Just a bit of mold stains on the lanai. Tropics. . .

Baylee seems to be adjusting well. But, she's not to keen on the idea of sharing her toys just yet. Barnum will grab something, and she will take it away and jump up and deposit it on the couch. Barnum can't jump up on the couch, YET!!!
