Surprise attack

About a month or so ago some new people moved into a house on my street with a small dog not much bigger than Percy. I'm not really sure what kind of dog it is, but he's white with tan spots and longish hair. The day they moved in the dog got loose and was wandering around my street. Percy saw the dog and was having a fit, telling the dog off safely from the living room window. Since then we've seen the dog out a few times on walks and Percy always pulls her tough dog routine and barks her fool head off at the new dog.

Yesterday I was taking P for a walk before I left for work and was kind of zoned out thinking about what all I needed to do when I got to work. Percy stopped in a grassy area to sniff around when I caught this white blob in my peripheral vision. It was breezy out yesterday so I just assumed it was a plastic bag or something like it blowing in the wind. Next thing I know the blob is growling and knocks Percy over and keeps going. I turn around and the new neighbor is profusely appologizing to me...seems she opened her door and the dog ran out, pounced on Percy and ran right back to his owner. It all happened so quickly and out of the blue that I couldn't help but laugh. I think the new dog saw his opportunity to get back at Percy for always barking at him. Poor Percy for the rest of our walk would go about 5 feet, stop, and look over her shoulder to make sure no one was going to sneak up on her again, lol!

Oh my. That might actually be worse than getting slapped by a fish! Percy is going to be looking for revenge. Yikes.

They will probably end up being good friends. But I'd keep one eye open just in case P!

Poor Percy's going to be paranoid.

(Try saying that 10x fast!)
