Pictures of Layla

Well I finally got some pictures of Layla at just over one year. I've been meaning to get these out as she is growing so quickly. She is doing so well - no longer sick in the car, no biting and such a good girl. Sleeps in till about 8:30 every morning (since I'm retired and like to sleep in myself I consider this a blessing in disguise.) So for all of you out there with a puppy, this day will come - hang in there.

Has it been just a year already! My goodness, we ought to go back and review all the posts leading up to Layla coming into our lives. I love it, she is such a pretty little girl and has been since day one. Yes, waking up with a Cairn as a retiree is sure a pleasant way to start the day--my Sammi is a "hugger" so my lower legs are always warm and snuggled when I wake up every morning--especially nice these cool Fall mornings. I'm sure those Maine days are pretty cool right now as well. Thanks for the pictures.

Time flies so quickly, I can remember when you first brought her home. She has grown up to be a beautiful companion for both you and your hubby.

Thanks everyone for all your wonderful comments. Yes - seems this year has passed quickly as I remember like it was only yesterday the day we were to pick her up. Once we got home, as she had never been outside on the ground, she climbed up my pant leg in fear. Now, she loves laying on the grass and surveying her domain. You guys were wonderful with all your helpful advice and without all of you to guide me along the way I don't think I would have turned out to be such a great Mom. So...to all you members (aunts and uncles) I have to thank you for all your help.

Layla is sooo beautiful. I love the pictures. Time flies by so quickly. It is like you blink your eyes and they are grown. She has always been a beautiful little girl and gets even more beautiful as time goes by.

 She's adorable and how fast the time has gone by. You can't beat a lie in when you're retired, Scruffy lets me lie in too.

Thanks for the update. So happy you have such a good (and pretty!) companion. Happy belated birthday Layla. :cake:

Awww, she's gorgeous! Cracker also likes to sleep in, but I'm not retired so he gets really upset when the alarm goes off for me to get ready for work. Even if we are watching TV and an alarm goes off, he will bark at it. LOL

awwwww!! she is adorable...

for a while I thought something was wrong with Napoleon because we all get up early and he is the only one that remains under the covers, some mornings we have to get him out of bed so he can eat and do his business before we go to work.

Our other dog is up at 4:45 am every day like a clock..
