How a little neighbor sees our dogs

We just learned from a neighbor, while walking our dogs last night, that her two-year-old daughter thought until recently that we had a dog that could change color! We have the two -- a black brindle and a wheaten/cream -- and because they have different styles of walking, we usually walk them separately. Steve usually handles the evening walk before I come home from work, so he's out between 5 and 6. Amelia saw him walking by with a black dog and then walking by later with a yellow dog. Her conclusion? We owned a dog that could change color...

She has finally figured out that she is seeing two rather than one dog.

Still, I was charmed by her perception.

Oh, that's adorable!

Your title reminded me of a neigbor who was 2 when we had a wire-hared fox terrier. Years later he mentioned the "big" dog we used to have!

Darn! You beat me too that reference.

How sweet

A little girl that we used to see on walks described Holly as a multi-coloured dog! Do not see her now so think she has started school.

Children can be very thoughtful yet funny.

Oh how sweet! Little kids' logic can be so funny sometimes!

I love little kids logic.... a little brother of my oldest daughter's friend, said we should name Sadie, Doggy (because of course she's a doggy) and the kitten "kitty"(since he's a kitty). lol... I just love to hear what they have to say cause its the darndest cutest things ever....

save a life! Adopt!
