I finally remembered to take my camera today. I think Ruffy loves barking & splashing around in the water even more than chasing squirrels. I had to attach his leash in order to coax him out!

It is pretty wonderful, but I have to admit, my post made it sound like this was Ruffy's private pool. It's not. This is the pool at my local dog run. There were 2 other dogs playing in the pool when Ruffy jumped in, splashing and barking and scared them off so he had the pool to himself!

It's funny. Ivy loves her pool as well, but when it comes time for a bath...........well, that is another story. She acts like I am torturing her. Go figure.

We made it to Biscuits and Bath in the Village one night but just barely. Hubble was the best behaved doggie there!

Hoping (as usual) my boyfriend's schedule dies down and we can have a Cairn play date!! Maybe Ruffy will inspire Hub to swim someday!

That pool is a lot more posh than the oil changing tin used for water at our local dog park. Before I stopped taking her there (because a strange dog bit ME, not her), Allie used to crawl into the tin/water dish and take it over as though it were her own private swimming pool. It certainly confused the other dogs looking for a drink to find a cairn laying down in theri water dish...

Kelly loves water too. She loves to play in the bath tub! THAT IS IF NO SOAP IS INVOLVED! I bring out the soap and she doesn't like water any more. LOL

I wish we could have a pool for her, but we are not allowed even a small baby pool. It's a shame.

I bought Kirby a kids wading pool. Should have gotten the smaller once - it would have fit in his kennel area - but I got a little carried away. He will come running down the hill and jump in and push himself around the sides! Eventually he has the same look Ruffy is sporting in the last pictures! Always wants to jump in the creek at the farm too!

yah. we live in the prairies states as well.... it totally sucks... she doesn't mind the step in doggy tub at the groomer because there is only 3 sides... but no other water...

so happy ruffy loves the water!!
