We made it!

Chewie took the trip like a champ, no car sickness, no messing in his crate, no problems!

If I might take a moment to say how amazing it is to get a Cairn from a great breeder. He walks calmly on a slack leash, only pausing to sniff for a moment unless he has to go; he isn't overly nervous, doesn't bark unless he feels I need to know something; His temperament is perfect for me, he is a relaxed little guy content to chill by himself when I'm busy, but ready for kisses or a scratch when I'm not (the breeder picked him out for me without having met each other, or me meeting the pups). I know most everyone here is a fan of getting dogs from a good breeder, and it was never my intention not to, but I wish I could shout it from the rooftops how beneficial it is to have such an amazing resource.

We had a moment when I was picking him up: I was sitting in a chair with the remaining pups of the litter around me. He put his paws up on my leg and stared at me, I stared back at him for a few moments and it just seemed to click, 'We're for each other aren't we?' seemed to be the unspoken agreement.

I know I have lots of work ahead of me, and our adventure together is just beginning, I'm so excited for what's to come.
