I haven't been here in ages and wanted to stop by and say hello and see if any regulars from a few years back are still here. I manage to follow some on FB, but wondered how everyone was. I guess I got a little sappy doing some very late spring cleaning and came across a few years worth of Cairn Christmas cards that I never got rid of. Those were my best years ever receiving all of those cards.

I still have my three Cairns. Kiara (10), Abbey (7 1/2), and Hannah (7). Kiara is still the tough one unless there's a thunderstorm. Abbey still destuffs her toys, and Hannah is the "can't do anything wrong" girl. I can't imagine life w/o a Cairn. Some of you might remember that I did add a little Westie into the group. I say little because he never hit 11 lbs. Ninja will be 5 and is the sissy boy of the group.

We also got into Newfoundlands, but that's too much to get into here. As much as I love certain large breeds, my favorite small breed will always be Cairns.

Good morning toomanypaws. I've been a member since last September when I decided to get my first Cairn. I have to say that this forum is a life-saver insofar as having great people and wonderful advice, especially for a first-time owner. Layla is now 9 1/2 months and definitely a hand-full but certainly keeps us old-timers on our toes. It's always nice to meet long-time members especially one who has three Cairns and a Westie - with a wealth of knowledge on this breed. Glad to see that your family is doing well and still pops in now and then to say hello.

Nice to see you peeking back in! Your avatar pic always cracks me up.

One late night when I was in high school (early 70's) I mistook a Newfie for a bear. I've always sort of liked them since that time, although like children, I enjoy my time with them but tend to be glad they go home with someone else :P

Hope you continue to drop by from time to time.

Hi Toomanypaws, I was a newbie a couple a years ago when you were a regular, it's nice to hear from you again. I've always love your signature and often wondered how you every got that picture. Hope you will stick around for a while we have a lot of newbies with pups that could benefit from your experience. Good hearing from you again.

Well, sure we remember you! I'm an '05 so I guess I'm getting to be an old-timer now, too. It's funny that your boy is the "sissy" of the group. And with a name like Ninja! Glad to hear you're all doing fine. Would love to see a photo of your Cairns with the Newfies! That's got to be a fun picture...

Hi Beth,

Funny what the definition of an "old timer" is around here! Currey and I still stop by every now and then although not as often as a couple years ago. He's an old man at 5 ;)

Glad to hear you and your pups are all well. Along with Liz (aka haslswel), you have some of my favorite cairn photos ever! Can't believe how tiny ninja is!
