Gus Birthday Hike

Gus turned 3 on Saturday and went on a wonderful birthday hike.

Gus says thanks for all the birthday wishes, He would so love another Cairn to hike with! We run into them occasionally on the trail but we don't know any personally.

Here is Gus's hiking buddy, Sasha. She is about 100 pounds heavier than him. It is really funny to see them trotting along together. Gus likes to jump at her neck and play attack, especially when other dogs approach. We think he is either showing off or releasing his dominance urges in a safe place, cause she is incredibly tolerant. If he really bugs her, one woof or lip curl is enough to put him in his place. When he runs into a dog with similar energy level on the beach or at the dog park, there is always a mighty game of chase - a Cairn buddy would be great for that. Unfortunately I am limited to one dog at my housing co-op......
