tomatosandwich Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 The good news: Divot is doing so much better now that he's on meds from the vet for swelling and pain! The vet said it was his patella, but that it wasn't bad. He is optimistic that he has a chance to avoid surgery. The bad news: Divot decided his leg felt well enough to stand on his hind legs to unroll and shred the toilet paper. White fluff filled the bathroom floor in seconds flat.
josie&holly Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Glad the pain relief is working so well that Divot can cause havoc! [Holly loves paper tissues - if I drop one and she finds it I find it shredded all over place!] www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk

Hawkeye Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I'm glad to hear Divot is getting back to normal and attacking the toilet paper -- I think. You know if they are getting into trouble they have to feel pretty good. We wish Divot of full recovery and many more toilet paper rolls to conquer!
Dempsy's Mom Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Happy your feeling better Divot! Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori
hheldorfer Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Nothing like a fresh, tasty roll of TP to brighten a pup's day, is there? So glad to hear Divot is back in action.

janis Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Glad Divot is better! We LOVE to shred any kind of paper at our house! Last month my son was getting ready to move to his apartment, I was piling up stuff for him to take. Obviously NOT thinking I set several rolls of paper towels next to his cleaning supplies. He had to buy paper towels after Kirby got finished! Paper fluff was everwhere!
pindrop Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 It's great to hear that Divot is almost back to normal and nothing serious. Insofar as the toilet paper is concerned - Layla hasn't as yet discovered that as it is too high for her to reach, however, she is just the right height to reach into the garbage can in the bathroom and living room. I find kleenex ripped apart and scattered on our bedroom floor. This only teaches us that we empty the garbages before they reach a height of her head. Hawkeye Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Just remembered...One time when we were visiting my mother Radar decided to go into the bathroom and he had a field day with the Poise pads. It was all over the bathroom and he was so proud of himself. Luckily mom had a good laugh too.
beccadiane374 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Tanner, too, loves paper...toilet paper, kleenax, napkins...he is not picky at all. If he sees it, he shreds it. I've attached a picture from when he was about 5 months old, only 2 months after he had come to live with us...and used it often around that time to remind people what happens when they don't shut the door to keep him out of the bathroom!
