Holly's Days Out in UK

I mentioned before somewhere I take my red wheaten Cairn all over the place in UK, day trips and holidays, camping etc. We've been all over Britain from Land's End to Skye and John O'Groats.

Yesterday my friend and I visited an old ruined Castle in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Lovely place to go, beautiful day, very hot but windy on the top.

There are lots of old castles and places to visit in Wales, which are dog-friendly, meaning the owners don't mind people bringing their dogs.

The photos may look like she's in a dangerous position, but she isn't. I had her on the leash at all times and the drops immediately below were not high.

Thought you might like to see some pics I took of her and the scenery yesterday, this is a slideshow. It will roll away on its own, but if you want to go faster move the curser to the right and click on the right arrow.

Some pics I took yesterday at Dryslwyn Castle, Carmarthenshire in Wales where I went with a friend, arranged on a slideshow for you to see of Holly there. Beautiful place, such a hot sunny day, but very refreshingly breezy up on top.

What beautiful countryside and great photography. Holly is one lucky pup to get to see this gorgeous scenery. My Mom just gave me a great booklet on Hever Castle in Kent; ancestral home of Anne Boleyn. I would love to visit England (my Mom's homeland) and Scotland (my paternal grandfather's homeland) to visit the many castles.

Amazing photos of Holly and the surrounding countryside. I dare not show them to Buffy or she'll be wanting to visit castles in Wales!

This Holly wants to visit castles in Wales too! but she will have a chance next month to visit places in Surrey/Hampshire when I go to visit my sister!

Castle ruins and Cairns...2 of my favorite things! Is Holly up on her hind legs in one picture? That's something Hogan does a lot!

I wish we could bring Hogan along on our trip to Scotland this fall, walking isn't the same without him!
