sanford Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I just received this warning in a pet newsletter I subscribe to: A number if injuries have been reported, of dogs being injured with encounters with paper shredders. Fur can get caught, if a curious dog is sniffing and/or investigating. Even worse injuries have been reported by vets. I hope to think these occurrences are rare, but some accidents were too graphic to describe here. At any rate I think the warning may be well-founded. Keep shredders turned off. i just wanted to pass this along. FEAR THE CAIRN!
hheldorfer Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 Good information. We keep our shredder in the basement and only plug it in when we're using it.
Hagar Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 There used to be a public service announcement that said "Be kind to your cat.....Kidproof your house". It makes a lot of sense, but I always thought it should have applied to dogs too. It's amazing the things you'd never think of that can be a hazard for pets. I've often thought that Renny was part cat due to his almost catlike curiosity about everything. I'd bet that other Cairn owners have been surprised at what your dogs can get into.
