Marty & Sherry
I thought I would add one of our Snow Dog pictures. Obie afraid of snow? Hardly. He is happier than a pig in.........slop.
Hawkeye
How cute! They really do love the snow. Looks as thou he was plowing through the snow with head.
hheldorfer
Oh, my lord . . . he looks like he belongs in a picture with some Arctic explorers on an expedition to the North Pole! Such a cutie!
Marty & Sherry
There always seems to be something under the snow for him. There can be 18" of snow out there but they will dig through it to get to dirt to throw out. It looks like little bombs have gone off.
Zekey's Mom
It's the Abominable Snow Cairn! Of course, if we WANTED them to go digging through piles of snow, they'd have none of it!
TazTalk
There can be 18" of snow out there but they will dig through it to get to dirt to throw out. He'd make a great avalanche rescue dog!! Love the pic.

Dempsy's Mom
Never enough snow for a Cairn. Elsie, Max, Meeko & Lori
pindrop
Ain't that the truth - never enough snow for the puppers. Since we had freezing rain on top of the snow, Layla manages to tuck her front legs under her body and with her back legs pushes herself, face first, across the ice. Occassionally, she cracks through the ice and manages to come up with a face full of snow. When it's zero degrees, all I want is for her to do her business and get back inside - not her...she would play out there all day if she could. Zekey's Mom
Sounds like my Gavin on the ice crust. His legs move in fast motion but his body isn't quite up to speed. Instead of skating, he skitters!
Hawkeye
We call that puppy skating. Every once in a while they fall into the deep snow and then back up on the ice. Bailey for the first time since December has been able to go beyond the potty patch because of the layer of ice on top of all the snow, he was thrilled. Fudgie
Ha ha, great picture! Fudgie looks just like that every day. We got more snow yesterday and she is loving it. And it's only -8 degrees this morning! Nothing stops her.....well, for a few minutes until she freezes and limps back in holding one snow ball covered leg in the air! 2littleterrors
yep, here in Seattle, my girls were sunning themselves on the back deck!! Tho I'm sure they would love to get some snow! Islander
Sorry, sorry!! Victorians are known and despised east of here for our shameless bragging about the weather. I will desist. Consider me noodled. I know it has been a particularly harsh winter for many of you - and I gotta say I admire your hardiness - digging tunnels, mazes & pee-ways for the furkids - over and above your own shovelling. I don't think I could cope! Gus would love it though.....
Islander
The snow gods have lashed me with a wet noodle and chucked a handful of snow down the back of my neck to boot! Here's Gus today in our back yard. I finally get it about snowballs in the fur.
Idaho Cairns
Yep, that pup has some snowballs going for it!!! Wish I knew a way around them but we just suffer here.

hheldorfer
Ha! That'll teach you to brag about your nice weather! Looks like Guss was enjoying it, though. A Cairn will take anything you throw at him and turn it into a reason for playtime. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything about your descriptions of the warm weather. The snow gods are going to dump on us again tonight.
Marty & Sherry
We got another couple of inches last night and you would have thought it was the first time the little nut job (Obie) had ever seen it. He was running around this morning like his butt was on fire!
