Thought you may enjoy these photos from the UK Midland Cairn Terrier Club - I particularly like the ones entitled "spot the Cairn"!

Cute photos! Keep the snow on that side of the Atlantic please!!!!

Very cute photo's and it was funny to see the cairns pepping out of the top of the snow.

Wow! Why did I have the false assumption that you guys across the pond didn't get snow like us???

These pictures are absolutely great--I enjoyed them so much that I had to linger with them for five minutes, enjoying the little pricked ears sticking out over the snow. Love it.

These are also some darned nice looking Cairns as well--how pretty--just a wonderful collage there at the end at the doorway! I am so glad you members are putting up so many great pictures and videos--addicted as I am, these all keep me higher than a kite!

Thanks so much for sharing photos of frolicking Cairns! They're a joy to see and all so cute!

I too didn't realize Scotland got snow like that. The pictures are wonderful. Lovely bunch Cairns.

Wonderful pictures, I love the last one with the three cairns wanting to go inside. Thanks for sharing.

The dogs pictured by the way are all "show" cairns [as well as being snow cairns].

Bradl - I thought by posting the link rather than the actual picture it avoided asking permission! Hope I have not been naughty doing that but so glad that the pictures can be enjoyed.

Scotland had a great deal of snow in last couple of weeks and we have more forecast for the end of this week along with arctic winds!

Beautiful photos! I love the one of the snowy grove -- I take walks in a preserve that has a lane of trees and shrubs bending over like that. Send the snow our way, just keep it off the roads!

I had no idea Scotland could look so much like Minnesota! We just had 18 inches of snow over the weekend, and expect another 4-6 inches tonight...Even our dogs don't like this much snow...

(We'll be visiting Scotland for two weeks next September. Looks lovely!)

Holy Cow! Neither did I realize that you all got that much snow. Is that normal? Brrrrr. Is it cold too? Sure looks like it. The cairns are enjoying it so - but like Dempsy - enough is enough and they are at he door wanting in their nice cozy house. And once inside, I am almost positive, it takes them a few minutes to wind down. Looks so fun and so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your white Christmas with us and letting us get a look at you wonderful cairns. They are so cute.

Don't worry they don't usually get snow in September! [Hope you are going to get to the Highlands as well as Edinburgh]

And when it does snow in the UK, it tends to be heavier in Scotland as it is further north. Quite a few go ski-ing in the Cairngorms in Scotland.

However, this year we got about 2 ft in the East Midlands. It was not normal for the UK to get so much snow early December. The UK is never prepared for snow so everything is chaos - roads get gridlocked, post stops coming, shops run out of stuff.

Some of those dogs in Scotland may well have been intending to travel on 2nd December to the Midland Cairn Terrier Show but it was postponed to January.

Yes it can look lovely but I am very glad it has cleared round here now!
