Zekey's Mom
Do your guys do this? Zekey will be sleeping, either on the couch or my bed, he'll get a little restless and growl. Sometimes it's when I move the blanket or my leg into his "personal space", but other times he's completely on his own. I think the conversation inside his head goes like this "Oooh, not too comfy on this side.. grrrrrr grrrrr... gotta turn over...grrr grrr... why is she always hogging the blanket ... grrrr grrrrr". He's such a funny guy!
tlwtheq
Teddy is our biggest growl-when-you-invade-my-territory guy. He doesn't like to have his beauty sleep interrupted! Olie and Sweet Pea aren't that easily incensed. Sweet Pea is the most prolific talking-in-your-sleep Cairn child. More often than not it seems she is chasing something (her little legs are moving) and she makes muffled woofing noises. It's really cute. What would we do without our Cairn children? josie&holly
Holly does not growl in her sleep but she "yips" - it is a really odd sound not woofing - when she first did it I was worried but now realise that she must be having a lovely dream! www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk

hheldorfer
Add Buffy to the list of sleeping yippers. I think she chases squirrels in her dreams. My husband and I have sometimes lain in bed laughing hysterically at the strange sounds she makes.
Kathryn
Our last cairn, Annie (who we lost in 1998) used to wag her tail slowly once in a while while she was sleeping. It always charmed me...
Sue G
Ozzy's a sleep-yipper. He'll also shift his breathing sometimes, almost like he's chasing something in his sleep and trying to catch his breathe. He twitches a lot too. It's really entertaining and has caused me to laugh loud enough to wake him up!
Dan L
No noise coming from Brody's crate. Once we put him in there he is lights out and quiet the entire night. Although I am sure we will catch him dreaming about catch the chipmunk that he sees every morning and barks at, or the squirrels at the bird feeder. I will now pay closer attention when he takes an afternoon nap!
JerryLv
Zen is a big time growler if you start touching him while he is asleep. GRRRRRRRRRR! If you start rubbing his belly the GRRRRRRRR turns into GRrrrrrrrrr then he almost purrs. Personally I think his growling is all a big fake. For what reason I don't know. Maybe he just likes to make noise.
