Thinking of the East Coasters today

I keep seeing pictures and status updates on facebook from my friends in Virginia and Maryland/DC and wow, the East Coast is slammed with snow and there is still more to come. I hope all of you are able to stay warm and if your power goes, it isn't for long.

My whole family/friends are in the Philadelphia suburbs and they were pummelled as well.

I'm kind of jealous. I love snow!

I do hope everyone is safe and warm and inside!

Well, we're just having a blast!

Thanks for thinking of us.

P.S. - why doesn't the weather behave this way more often?

The paper said the town just south of us got 8.5" of snow. {We probably had a lil more snow then them.}But when I actually went out there were parts that was almost up to my knees. Scotty actually got stuck in the snow and was jumping on the back of my legs. He was so happy and excited to be in the snow that he kept running {or hopping I should say} in circles around me! :D

Angel got to play in it early this morning before it was done snowing so I didn't get any photos or videos or her. Both of my dogs seem to really love the snow. I think it's their favorite time of the year. I post a video of scotty playing in the snow later. :P

I am just outside of Philadelphia and we got about 18" here. I personally hate it!! Oliver is not a fan and I think that is why I am not either. We live in an apartment complex that puts salt down on the sidewalks so walking him is impossible, and unfortunately he can't walk in the snow that higher than him! :) Last night I took him out and he started crying because the salt was burning his little feet so badly! It's a sad time around here, and we are getting more! :crybaby:

Thank you for thinking of us eastcoasters. We are just above NE Philly got about 18" not bad. All the roads are clear and thing are normal today. My dogs had fun on Sunday at one of the parks we go, the walking path was not cleared but the snow was packed from other walkers. When we got done the dogs were full of iceballs on their legs. We are waitting on a storm Tues night into Wed with poss 20".

I miss Philadelphia! :crybaby:

I'd deal with almost 2ft of snow to have a cheesesteak right now! LOL!

(or a hoagie, or a soft pretzel, or birch beer, or a stromboli, cannoli, a decent Italian restaurant........ I could go on and on....... :D )

We ended up getting 30" of snow. Our internet and phone were dead

until yesterday evening which is why you didn't hear from us sooner.

We were really lucky; we kept electricity and cable TV the whole time.

Had to work from home today because still couldn't get out of

the neighborhood. The pups liked that.

Talk about crazy weather!! I live in New England and we have hardly any snow on the ground...crazy. Glad to hear all is ok and it's nice to be able to stay home today. Enjoy it!

Here in Pgh, PA we got 21 inches. Lots of people without power, but we were out cable for 2 days, no internet, phone or TV (which really hurts) but it is so terrible for all thoses people still without power. Some of our family had to stay with us with their power out. And now we are getting additional 4 to 8 inches. It is cold so no melting here for a while. Our poor Nena has only a small path we cleared to go out. She can't run the yard and play. The snow is way over her head and she just looks at me like she is thinking what is going on.

Don't know where else to pile snow up. Can't wait for warm weather to melt all this and we get back to normal. I hope next week.

The other East Coasters are really suppose to get slammed with this new storm.

I'm getting set to take all my work home with me for tomorrow -- expecting upwards of 20". On the bright side, Amazon just informed me that my snow blower was delivered. Yeah!!!! I've got to run home and widen some of the paths that are only a shovel-width wide.

Zekey "helps" me shovel, but he'll have to stay inside if I'm running the blower. He will not be a happy camper!
