nikkikaem
We shared what drives us crazy about our Cairns...now what do you love the most? Gotta pick just one...per dog Bogart: I love how he will barrel into Lake Michigan to chase after a stick. No fear, and you can just tell he is the happiest dog in the world. Lily: I love how much she loves to cuddle. She could probably lay on the couch with me for days at a time...when I'm sick she is my number one cuddler. I'll get up and she look sat me like "what are you doing? it's only been 12 hours...i just need a little more...."
mumscairn
I love the way Sopher-noodle will get on my lap, curl into a ball and cover her nose with her tail! Um, this doesn't happen in the summer. "Gee Mumsy," says Sophie. "It's cold down here on the floor and I am one smart Cairn!"
Hawkeye
Oh it's so hard to pick just one! Bailey is such a great dog, but if I have to pick one I would say I love how he wants to please us. He listens great and wants to do what we ask, even if it requires stopping what he would consider is "having fun". He is such a happy dog and just wants to be with us. Puddlesmama
Puddles..I love how she has taken all of my dogs from the past and balled up into one little 18 lb little dog. Her tenacity leaves me in the dust.. Love love love my girl. Iris... My sweet, shy. love bug.. Turns into a ball chasing freak in 1.3 seconds. I LOVE MY CAIRNS PUDDLES AND IRIS! tlwtheq
Olie: He is totally devoted to us and we to him Teddy: He's a real talker; sometimes it's just hilarious. It's almost as if he's channeling Shadow (at RB) Sweet Pea: I love her enthusiasm about her favorite toys. (Are you sure we're limited to just one?) Sam I Am
One thing mmmmmm, well probably the very thing I love most about Jock is his little Cairn soul. It embodies everything that is him... all wrapped up in one furry loving package. Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened. - Anatole France Adventures with Sam &Rosie
Hagar
Since I'm a widower and it's just Renny and me at home, I tend to talk to him quite a bit. I absolutely love the way he will look directly at me and cock his head from side to side as if he is hanging on my every word. Sometimes I think he understands a lot more than I give him credit for, and of course there is no back talk from him.
Sue G
It is so hard to pick just one thing. I love the way Ozzy makes a nest in the pillows on my bed next to my head to snuggle down close to Mama at night. It's almost like he's a different dog than the little day time cat chasing terror. beccadiane374
Only one? Really?! Not sure I can handle that.... Tanner is crazy about me & I guess I love that. I love that he's waiting for me when I get home, that he can't wait to give me kisses hello. I love that when I'm home, but go on the other side of the gate than him, he'll lay right next to the gate, waiting for me to come back. I love that he just wants to be next to me...not much of a cuddler, per se, but he wants to be touching me. If I sit down on the floor, he will get his bone & sit right next to me, or at night in bed, he doesn't want to be on top of me or cuddled against me, just touching my leg. I love that he watches out the window when I leave in the mornings (even though it makes me a little sad). I'm his favorite person & I know it & it makes me smile...'cause to be honest, he's one of my top very favoritest "people" to be around, too. kjwarnold
Packy - He's a cuddler at night, for a nap or when we're not feeling well. Kirby - His tail is always wagging because he's just always happy! Too hard to pick just one!!! Jandy and my Cairns, Kirby & Phinney
Fudgie
Fudgie will stand up on her hind legs and balance herself in front of us for the longest time. She looks like a little chipmunk. She does this of course when she wants special attention.
Idaho Cairns
I'm simply unreasonable when it comes to Cairn Terriers. I often ask myself why I like these dogs so much because I'm to the point of not appreciating any other breed of dogs--I literally don't understand why someone would want anything but a Cairn. I love everything about Cairn Terriers and you don't even want me to do a compare and contrast between Cairns and other breeds--you would get bored with the superlatives. TazTalk
Taz - when he gets all fired up, he runs fast laps around the coffee table over and over until he runs out of steam. Gypsy - even though she's almost 14, every once in a while the little puppy in her will come out and she plays like she did 13 years ago. and many more, of course.... Murphy's Mom
I love how in tune Ms. Murphy is with my husband and me almost right from the beginning. She understands so much of what we want and what we say. It feels as though she has always been ours and we can't believe she's only been in our lives a mere five months. It's been a gift. SparkyJonesMom
Ooh, I love topics like this. I could go on forever. What I love about Scout is how she spins in circles when she knows it's breakfast time or dinner time. Sometimes she'll kind of do a little jump-spin, and it's so cute. I haven't broken her of the habit because it's her way of showing her excitement, and once I get the food she will sit for me until I tell her to eat. I also love how she wraps her tail around my back when I pick her up a certain way and carry her. And I love watching her as her little brain tries to figure out how to fit two Kongs in her mouth. This can go on for a while. She tries so hard to get them both, and then she has to decide on which one she wants. Oh, and I love how she licks Sparky's beard after he's eaten or drank something. What I love about Sparky is how GOOD of a little dog he is. Once we got Scout, he just surpassed all of our expectations. He does what he's told. I love how he perches on the back of the couch, and also how it takes him 5 minutes to get his pillow just right before he lays on it. And I LOVE when his pricked up ears turn sideways/flat because he looks like a little wolf. But most of all, I love how both of them love to be cuddled and held. Zekey's Mom
If I'm walking in front of Zekey off leash, like coming in from the yard, or in the house, I love how he touches he nose to the back of my calf, as if to say "ok, we're going this way? alright, I'll follow". He even did it to my Dad when we were over there once. Or maybe he's trying to tell me I'm not walking fast enough??
Sandi16
These are so sweet! Everynight I bring Louie from the foot of the bed up closer to me. We snuggle together and he fits perfectly into my body. Then,I think "Ok this is no longer comfortable" and I roll over. Then we lay back to back which is comforting. Then right when I think.. "Geez, I'm starting to get hot" he moves on his own back to the foot. I love that! I wish he would train DH who is Mr. Snuggly arms. Geez. Who wants to be restricted while sleeping?!? Tracy A.
I love how Brattwurst is so happy when I come home from work, he is wagging his tail so hard he actually leaves the ground! I love how Brattwurst will lay down and kick his back legs out like a jerk...over and over..like his is getitng rid of pent up energy...LOL I love how both the boys will play blanket moster with eachother or alone... a game Steve started with them when they were puppies... I love how Mettwurst asks me to pick him up and is always looking up to me for direction... all I have to do is call his name and he stops and looks at me. I love how Mettwrust will come find me if i'm in the Garage and keep me company while I work on project... he tires to do the same while i'm in the workshop, but with his ability to find any gemstone i've ever dropped and eat it.. I really do try to keep them out of there... Tracy, Amos, Walter, Brattwrust & Mettwurst a.k.a The Gremlins
