cleokiki
Hi All, Just want to show pics of Skye at our full time home. Have had to keep her in Key West for a little while till she got most of her vacinations. We have all sorts of critters there, Key Deer (small),racoons, rats, etc. Did not let her wander out back to the mangroves but gave her beach time and she got to play with neighbor's toy poodle Gidget. She was in heaven. Here are some pics.

cleokiki
Saw the most amazing thing tonite here!! Around 9:00 pm. my husband Bruce was securing the boat. Skye was louning on the floor exhausted from a busy day. Bruce called out "Come here, look at this!!". "Can I bring Skye?" I said. When he said no, I knew it could only be one thing..... baby seaturtles!! They hatched tonite and we helped them on their way out to sea. Skye would have had some of those in her mouth. As it is, she likes to go after the hermit crabs, but they can hide in their shells. There was a story of a Cairn terrier in Bark magazine. A turtle conservatoinist in Texas has a Cairn that is taught how to find sea turtle nests. Maybe I can teach Skye how to do that. It was the same year the space shuttle exploded on takeoff (early 1987). It was really, really cold...40 degrees in Key West. Cairns being who they are, Holdsworth had a tremendous time swimming. Of course he was the only one swimming; 40 degrees is a temperature Cairns yawn at. He had a blast. Thanks for the pics and bringing back the memories. Forever Mom of Holdsworth.
