jimnconnie
Do any of you have pictures of your Cairns before & after they've been groomed?? I'm still amazed at the difference in these 2 pictures of Bailey, taken on 03/11/09 before and after his trip to our breeder/groomer. Jim BEFORE: AFTER (He's a puppy again!!) Fudgie
That can't be the same dog!! I can't believe the change. I wish I had a picture of a before and after. I will try to do that next time. And I'm going to learn to do the stripping on my own. I hired a groomer who said she knew how to hand strip. She used a stripping comb (which should have been ok) and left knicks and a rash all the way down Fudgie's back. I felt so sorry for her. What a cutie you have! josie&holly
Well Holly went to groomers three weeks ago but she did not do a lot to her head - so my friend who has 4 Cairns did some work on her yesterday afternoon so first picture is after groomers! and second/third ones yesterday - this pic taken on mobile phone [so colour appears different!] I think friend di better than groomer! www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk

josie&holly
I agree, you should stick with your friend! Holly looks great, she's a real cutie. Jim Thanks Jim - I told Sandra this and she was pleased! I keep trying to get her to join Forum as she has lots of Cairn experience - having bred and shown them in past. Her four are great dogs and it was meeting them that encouraged me to have Holly [also she found Holly for me!]. www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk

Hawkeye
Hope I did this right. Here's Bailey's before and after pictures. He really wasn't too long to begin with but I cleaned him before we took him to Maine on our vacation.
Kit'sOwner
Okay, is everyone STRICTLY hand stripping or are some of you using tools such as the Mars Coat King or a stripping comb/tool? They look GREAT, what ever it is you are using. "Did you ever walk into a room and forget why you walked in? Nena
Strictly hand stripping using a pumice stone, it helps so much to get more hair out quickly. But these dogs look great anyway you get them to look like that is great. cairn terriers leave pawprints on our lives
