wellygoggles
I was at a recent craft fair in our local community hall and came across an elderly lady selling hand-knitted dog coats. It's winter here in NZ and I thought a knitted coat at night-time would be just the ticket for Fergus to stop him wedging himself between DH & I in order to keep warm. Do other ppl put coats on their dogs at night-time in winter? Here's Fergus in his PJs: Veni, vidi, velcro - I came, I saw, I stuck around
jodi0553
Oh, I love it! what a great idea - I never thought of it! DH might be thrilled with that idea. He is apparently much warmer than me, so when it is cold, Currey snuggles as close as he possibly can to him (which usually results in DH practically falling out of bed!). It drives him crazy!!! Thanks for sharing. How has Fergus reacted to the jacket? Is he leaving it on and stopping the wedging?
BetsyNoodle
Fergus is adorable in his cute PJs! We live in central Texas so we don't need any clothing for our Cairn, Murphy, given our temperatures. We have been having temps in the 100's over the past several days and have moderate winters with few freezes. In the summer, we keep our bedroom at 72 degrees, so I know he is not cold, and he still sleeps right up against one of us. He just has to be touching one of us. I would think the Cairn's natural coat would keep them pretty warm in cooler weather, so he may just want to snuggle you.
josie&holly
I think he looks very cute in his PJs! But Holly would not tolerate a garment on her - she did not even like a coat last Winter. www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk

Cairnmania
No coats on mine, they are double-coated as it is! :-)
oscar's mom
Oscar tolerates a sweater if we are in New England, during the day, but take it off of him for bed. He heats up me and DH while sleeping with us. He doesn't look to us for heat, we look to him for heat!

kintra
My Min Pin wears sweaters/pajamas during the winter, but only because she finds the cold to be unbearable. I've tried sweaters with Zach, my Cairn, but he just won't stand for it. He prefers to have a few loose towels/blankets that are designated as his. Kintra Cairns Home of Multi-Group Winning Ch.
