josie&holly
Well, at the country park this afternoon I met a couple with an overweight labrador - the lady said yes I can see you have the same problem with your Yorkshire Terrier! What Yorkshire Terrier? I have a Cairn. And she is not that overweight either. www.cairnterriertalk.co.uk
Kramersmom
What yorkshire terrier is right! There such smaller dogs, no wonder why she thought your yorkie was over weight If Holly was a yorkie, yes, she would be a big yorkie. But Holly being a Cairn, she is not over weight. Some people really know there breeds huh? Rhonda,Kramer & Angel Missy "Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog". Autumn & Lola
Oh I'm sorry but that made me crack up! So funny! If your Cairn is the average 14lbs or so, that would be one biiiiiiiiig Yorkie!
DawnandTuk-tuk
LOL! That is funny! And since according to that thread awhile ago, most of us don't have 14lb cairns we must be breaking some records for yorkies! Tuk is like 3 or 4 yorkies melted into one! Or maybe more, what are they supposed to weigh anyway, 6lbs?

Jessica H
People always ask me if mine are Yorkies. The funny thing is they ask if Scooter is a Yorkie a lot, I have never seen a red wheaton Yorkie that weighs 17lbs. I guess the breed isn't that common, lol. Hagar
I was walking Renny at about 9:45 last night. It was almost, but not quite dark out. A lady was coming up behind us walking two fairly large dogs ( Possibly young Labs ). I pulled off to the side to let them pass since I never quite know how Renny will react to other dogs. The lady was about 50 feet behind us and called "Is he a Cairn Terrier?". As she caught up to us, Renny was OK with her dogs and we talked for a couple of minutes while the dogs got aquainted. I told the lady that she should get some sort of award since she was one of the few who know what a Cairn is. She said anyone who has seen and loved "The Wizard of Oz should know a Cairn when they see one". She also commented on his really cute face and nice coat. Needless to say, she made my day. No snarky comments about Dirty Westies, Fat Yorkies, and so on.
tlwtheq
Ha Ha dont feel bad, I remember mighty mouse too. Me too! Many times people have asked if we have Scotties. I can only attribute that to all 3 being coal colored and, ahem, not well groomed. Max and Nelly
