New to Cairns and the forum

Hey everyone! I recently took in my first Cairn terrier... I knew they were a handful, but had no idea JUST how fun and CRAZY they truly are. Mahle is 5 months old now and everyday she still never ceases to amaze me! I have always grown up with dogs, mostly hounds, and a now 16 year old Rat Terrier... and this is my first dog I am raising on my own and man did a pick a good one to start out with! Just wanted to share some of our "better" pictures of the first few months of having her! Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!!

Thanks for the pictures, she is adorable. Yep, these dogs are amazing. Malcolm was playing ball by himself in the yard. He would shake his head and throw the ball, then chase it, then toss it again. It is so funny to watch. And just wait till that sprinkler turns on, Malcolm wears himself out chasing the water from the sprinkler. Have fun with your little bundle of terror (oops, I meant bundle of joy).

Welcome and Cairngratulations!! Your Mahle is a little beauty. Cairns are such wonderful little clowns. We adopted Murphy, a dark brindle, last December. We think he is between two and four years old, and he is a MESS!! We adore him and all his silly antics, including the way he "talks" to me when I am on the computer! His nickname is "The Toddler" as he is just like a child!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on Mahle...she is adorable. I have a cairn and a westie and they keep me going as well. All I can say is ... one is not enough!

Thanks for all the well-wishes! I am already planning out when I am getting her a little fuzzy companion... all I know is he/she will definitely be another Cairn! They really are the greatest dogs. She "tried" to clean her own pee pee the other day. She took out the toilet paper roll and put it on top of her pee spot haha. She is incredible! I am so excited for her to be my first dog!
