Posted June 9, 200916 yr Hey all. It's been a while since I last posted. So Casey and Olive have been eating Cannidea (sp) for a while. I waited until the last minute to get food when i found that the only place near us that sells it is closing and had nothing left. I had a tiny bit left but the transition won't be a full week. Anyway i need a new food and had heard decent things about Wellness brand. Anyone use it or hear anything? Thanks so much
June 10, 200916 yr I have a Cairn puppy and feed him the Wellness Just For Puppy formula. He absolutely loves this food, and so do I. Granted, I have never fed him anything else, so I don't have much to compare it to, but when I picked him up his breeder was in the hospital. That means that I picked him up from one of her friends, who didn't know anything about him/what he was eating...meaning I didn't even know what to transition the Wellness with, so I didn't! Shaaba switched straight from what he was eating to Wellness, and he is doing fine. Just took him to the vet the other day for some shots and she said he looks excellent. I say this not to endorse NOT transitioning, just to let you know that my puppy did fine with no transition at all. I like Wellness and you probably will too
June 10, 200916 yr My Cairn and Labrador eat Wellness Duck and Rice and Core Wellness Ocean (every now and then), as my Lab is allergic to just about everything. So far, they seem to be doing fine. I add fish oil to the kibble each morning for their allergies and for joint health.
June 10, 200916 yr Gracie is on Wellness Puppy and she loves it (but she also eats sticks too). I am thinking of transitioning Buckley from Solid Gold Wee Bits to Wellness also.
June 11, 200916 yr We do solid gold and their canned products mixed in with the dry. Also use a spoonful of cottage cheese sometimes. You can get it at Petco. June 12, 200916 yr I feed my Cairn, Chihuahua, and JRT Wellness SuperMix 7 Small Breed, they love it, I also split a can of the wellness cans and give them the Wellness Health Bars, yogurt, banana and apple, they LOVE the food. I'm getting a new West Highland Terrier tomorrow and he too will eat the same food, he is currently on Blue Buffalo but I will transition him onto Wellness.
