Reticent Buttercup (Yorkie rescue)

This little girl is a frequent visitor to my house with her pals, but unlike Rita and Marley, she doesn’t care to spend hours napping in laps. She’s much more appreciative of a pillow off in a corner of the couch and she keeps a wary eye on the rest of the dog pack. Still, she’s learned that, whenever Rita the queen and Marley the king are not near her, she can get scratches and cuddles from Mom and me, and she’ll come over for pats when she sees us outside. It’s really sweet watching this wary older gal learn to trust and enjoy interacting with strangers.
