  • Born to Bark: My Adventures with an Irrepressible and Unforgettable Dog

As new Cairn owner, I found the book hilarious and informative. Have read through it several times.

Had similar experiences like Flint with Katie in obedience class. Book helped me to shrug off others critique of her independent "I'm doing it my way" behavior. We did provide our fellow class members with moments of humor! My response " it's a Cairn thing."

    Excerpt

For Christmas the woman who would become my wife bought me a dog—a little terrier. The next year her Christmas gift to me was a shotgun. Most of the people in my family believe that those two gifts were not unrelated.

Every chapter I read was like Sam looking into the mirror...as a matter of fact I think Sam could have been the main character in the book.A must read for all Cairn owners.
