Moonie, the Chihuahua who played Bruiser in the 2001 film Legally Blonde, has passed away at age 18.

His costar, Reese Witherspoon, who played the fashionable Harvard law student Elle Woods, took to Facebook to post a touching tribute in his honor: "He was a sweet little Chihuahua who was very loved," she wrote. "I will never forget all the days we spent together ... I'm sure his tail is wagging in the sky."

RIP, Moonie.
